Quick answer

Skirts, sandals, high heels and thick-soled shoes are not permitted on Sky Phoenix or Tree-top Trekking, and umbrellas are not permitted on the rides, so wear closed, flat shoes and carry rainwear. A visitor account from summer describes heat above 30 degrees and slippery suspension courses after downpours.

The clothing rules on the rides

The park says some attractions have dress and shoe restrictions and lists skirts, sandals, high heels and platform shoes as items to check against each attraction's rules. For Sky Phoenix and Tree-top Trekking, the attraction pages say plainly that skirts are not permitted and that sandals, high heels and thick-soled shoes are not permitted. Trousers or shorts and closed, flat shoes that stay on your feet are the safe choice for the whole day, since you cannot easily change between rides.

Umbrellas and rainwear

Umbrellas are not permitted on the rides, and the attraction pages recommend rainwear. The Dinosaur Safari page tells guests to prepare rainwear and notes that water may be splashed during some of the performances. In practice that means a light waterproof jacket or poncho in your bag, and shoes you do not mind getting wet. A visitor account says afternoon downpours soaked footwear and made the walkways slippery, so shoes with grip matter.

Heat and sun

A visitor account from midsummer reports heat above 30 degrees Celsius, frozen drinks that thawed within an hour, and a need for cooling gear, hats and sunglasses. A review excerpt from August 2025 says the park has almost no shade. The park itself lists shaded rest spots and slopes for breaks, so plan to use them. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and a way to carry drinks, and check what the park allows you to bring in before you pack a cooler.

Filming and phones

On rides such as Dinosaur Safari and Tree-top Trekking, filming is allowed only if your phone is secured with a crossbody strap at waist level. Long straps are not allowed, and you must follow staff instructions. That matters on a day when you also use the app for lotteries and consent forms, so a small crossbody phone strap is worth packing. Keep the phone charged, because the app carries the park map, wait times and your reservation passes.

Weather, closures and your date

Tree-top Trekking closes at sunset and may be suspended without notice because of weather or other conditions. The park's news page has posted full-day closures for a typhoon, and a visitor account describes a pass losing value when a ride was suspended. Okinawa's typhoon season is a real planning issue for a ticket that cannot be cancelled once booked on Klook, so pick a date with room to move, and keep the rest of your trip flexible around it.

If you are visiting the spa

SPA JUNGLIA has its own rules. Swimwear is not permitted in the bath, and guests aged 10 and over may enter without a parent or guardian, while children under 10 must be accompanied by a same-sex parent or guardian aged 16 or older. Last admission is one hour before closing. If you plan to finish the day in the spa, pack a change of clothes, so that you do not have to put sweaty or damp ride clothes back on.

Who this isn't for

If you cannot wear closed, flat shoes, or you cannot be outside for hours in heat and humidity, the full day will be uncomfortable, and several of the rides will be closed to you anyway. Visitors who rely on umbrellas to cope with rain should also consider a different day or a different place, since the rides do not allow them. A gentler alternative in the north is the aquarium in Motobu, where a wet day changes less.
